The Tutors were needed during lockdown, to reach the vulnerable, those with learning difficulties and households without digital technology. Why the Government didn’t ask Apple/Zoom/Microsoft to roll out 700,000 tablets overnight last March is beyond me.
Now is the time to get everyone back in to the classroom. For those who have learnt well, it can be revision with extension work. For those who missed lessons, it can be new. Students can be assessed on the work they produce between now and this summer.
