The leaves are crunching golden.
The sandwich is complete. My bike route to Aldeburgh is the B1122 past construction of the worker’s accommodation, the Sizewell Link Road into the new site entrance and the railway crossing. Or up Harrow Road past the Railway Line extension whose compound is now complete – they could rename the campsite Cakes and Rail – and then Buckleswood Road has the reopening of the existing Railway Track. Or via Eastbridge and Bridleway 19, still open, a landscape of desert and sand dunes and ugly white cabins and past the temporary construction site on Lovers’ Lane and wooden fenced office block fence on Valley Road into Leiston. I’m gonna buy a copter so I can fly over road closures and diversions.
The moist mornings are a relief after the sneeze-inducing dust, heat and drought combined with diesel.
Hearsay: Sizewell are emptying out Framlingham reservoir so Framlingham residents are under a hosepipe ban.
Not Framlingham Mere but maybe Alton Water near Manningtree?
Any which way, they promised they wouldn’t take our water.
