Alison Downes has been speaking to the SZC Team in the Information Office about communication. Start with where we are she says. We are in shock and grief. The spokesman agreed that even he is a bit devastated by the carnage on Lovers’ Lane. Show you are human, she says.
I had reached the conclusion that the office was a sham, a façade to stop us rioting. I have no idea what’s going on; when Pretty Road closes for the building of the bridge, when it reopens, what access I’ll have to my property. When I ask the Office they don’t know where Pretty Road is. The Community Forums don’t take questions. Apparently I should have received a letter from SZC. Theberton has had a year of unexpected road closures, roads that say they are closed when they are passable and loopy diversions but now with the 60 mile diversion round Friday Street and National Grid infrastructure such as the closure of the Aldringham Road we need effective, joined up communication between all the energy companies. I’m not joking when I say I’m going to buy a copter; once Scottish Power start as well it will become impossible to commute between Aldeburgh and Theberton. It is time Sizewell C kept their promise to share transport; there is no bus between Darsham, Middleton, Westleton, Theberton and Leiston.
